CURRENT UPDATE Sept 2010
Bud burst and our Vineyard is ready for another great vintage
Early warm weather, continued high moisture levels and our vineyard has decided enough is enough and we have an early budburst, with Verdelho and Chardonnay leading the charge.
This year our two Shiraz blocks have been treated slightly differently with the larger block spur pruned down to 4 spurs per arm to yield low volume high quality, with our smaller Shiraz block now prepared at the highest ratio to yield premium fruit, ie 2 spurs per arm.
Our smaller Shiraz Block has been renamed our Cradle Shiraz Block and is now set up to produce in future years our premium Cradle Shiraz Range.
